Shadowrocket App Store Download

Paid app · One-time purchase Download on the App Store
  • Developer Shadow Launch Technology Limited
  • App ID 932747118
  • $2.99 reference price for a one-time purchase in the US storefront
  • For iPhone and iPad

Shadowrocket is available only on the App Store. This page covers storefront availability and how to verify the listing, followed by installation and purchase restoration. Check the App Store listing for the current price, system requirements, and purchase compatibility.

Buying the app is not the same as buying a service plan. After installation, import your own existing subscription or server details.

How storefront links relate to your account region

The button above links to Shadowrocket’s US App Store product page. The storefront path in the link directs you to the product page; it does not change your Apple ID’s country or region, or guarantee that your account can make a purchase. If the page loads in a browser but the App Store says the app isn’t available in your region, check the account used for Media & Purchases and its storefront region instead of repeatedly searching for the name.

Changing your region may depend on your account balance, active subscriptions, payment method, and Family Sharing settings. Follow the instructions on your Apple Account page to see whether you can proceed and what you need to do first. This manual explains where to find the settings but can’t guarantee that a region change will succeed. If you see a payment or account verification prompt, review it before continuing. Don’t treat a storefront region issue as a Shadowrocket connection problem.

Before buying, confirm that your device can open the product page and check the compatibility section to see whether your device is supported. Being able to view the product page in a browser and being able to buy and install the app on your device are two separate checks. If you’ve already purchased the app, go to “Restore Purchases” below. Check your purchase history before deciding whether to buy it again.

Verify the listing

Check three details—not just the name

Searching for the app name is just the first step. Before buying, check the developer, official icon, and app ID together.

Official Shadowrocket icon: a rocket with a blue-purple outline on a white background
Shadowrocket

App Store app ID: 932747118

Developer: verify the full name

Check the developer on the product page. The full name should be Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Don’t rely on a shortened search result title or a similar-looking name. If the developer information doesn’t match, stop and return to the product page linked here. “Shadowrocket” is the product name; verify the app’s identity using the listing details.

Icon: compare with the official artwork

The official icon shows a rocket with a blue-purple outline on a white background, matching the icon shown on this page. Similar colors alone aren’t enough to confirm the app—similar names and icons can make search results confusing. Check the developer first, compare the icon, and then verify the app ID. Don’t rely on just one detail.

App ID: check the number in the link

The correct product link ends with id932747118. This is the app’s identifier, not a version number or purchase order number. If you opened the page from search results, check or copy the product page link to verify it. If the identifier is different, it isn’t the app described on this page, even if the title looks similar.

All three details should match. Check the price, compatibility, and update history on the same App Store product page. Don’t use an article date, screenshot status text, or search snippet as a source for the app’s current information.

Buying and opening Shadowrocket on iPhone

First, verify the three listing details on the App Store product page, then check the price and compatibility information. Check the App Store listing for system requirements. Confirm that Media & Purchases is signed in with the Apple ID you intend to use, then complete the purchase and installation through the system flow. If the page shows that the app is already purchased or offers a redownload button, check your purchase history instead of looking for a different listing.

  1. Confirm the purchase is complete. Wait for the App Store process to finish, then open Shadowrocket from the Home Screen. If the download is still waiting or paused, check your network connection, available storage, and App Store messages. The app hasn’t started managing network traffic yet, so this isn’t a routing issue.
  2. Check Home. When you first open the app, find Not Connected, Global Routing, Connectivity Test, and SERVER. Don’t treat the connection switch as a complete setup when no configuration is loaded. Enter your existing server details in Add Server, or follow the guide to import your existing subscription.
  3. Review the VPN configuration permission. The first time you enable a connection, the system may ask you to allow a VPN configuration and authenticate your device. This system step creates a VPN configuration on your device. It doesn’t require you to buy the app again or create a server for you.

Grant system permission only after confirming that you’re setting it up for Shadowrocket. If you cancel, return to the app, review the details, and try again. If the connection switch won’t stay on, check that the system has allowed the required configuration, then review the selected server and routing settings. App purchase status, system permission to connect, and remote server availability are separate things to check.

Installation is just the first step. Next, import your own existing subscription or server details, select an entry, and choose the Global Routing mode that suits your configuration. Start with the guide to importing an existing configuration. If the switch or connection isn’t working, follow the connection troubleshooting steps.

Use the same purchase on iPad

Shadowrocket is available for both iPhone and iPad. After purchasing with the same Apple ID, you can find the app under Purchased in the App Store on an eligible iPad and download it again, usually without paying again. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and purchase compatibility. If the iPad listing still shows a price, check the purchase account and history before confirming payment again.

The wider iPad display may change list widths, page layouts, and the position of some controls. Orientation also affects what’s visible. Find features by their interface labels, such as Home, Add Server, Config, and Settings, rather than expecting an exact match with the screenshots. After importing, verify the selected server and configuration file—not just that an entry appears in the list.

Your purchase history lets you get the app, but VPN configuration permission must be granted on each device. Allowing VPN configuration on your iPhone doesn’t automatically authorize it on your iPad. The first time you connect on iPad, review the system prompt, authenticate the device, and check that your network is working.

Don’t assume both devices automatically have the same configuration. If your existing entries aren’t on the iPad after installation, import them from your own saved data or use the backup and restore options available in the app. Don’t erase a working device before checking what your backup contains. Keep a usable configuration on hand before migrating to avoid errors from entering details again.

Moving to a new device or reinstalling

Restore the purchase first, then restore your configuration

When moving to a new device, keep two things separate: the App Store records your eligibility to use the app, while Shadowrocket stores your servers, subscriptions, and configuration files. Restoring the app doesn’t restore all your configurations. Likewise, having configuration data doesn’t mean your current App Store account has a purchase record. Check these in order to avoid mistaking missing configuration for a need to pay again.

Find the app in Purchased

Sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase. Go to App Store → Account → Purchased, find Shadowrocket, and download it again. Menu names and sections may vary slightly between system versions; follow what appears on your account page. Redownloading an eligible purchase usually doesn’t require another payment. If you see a price, pause and confirm that you’re using the right account.

The account used for Media & Purchases may differ from other accounts signed in on your device. Check the account currently used by the App Store. If you still can’t find the app, check your purchase history and see whether you hid the purchased item. Availability in your current storefront, account status, and device compatibility can also affect whether you can redownload the app.

Restore your existing data on the new device

After reinstalling, open Home and check what’s already there. Then import your saved subscription or server details. If you’re restoring a configuration backup, check that it includes the files and entries you need; don’t assume every backup method saves everything. After importing, verify the selected server, current Config, and Global Routing. Then enable the connection and test access.

Subscription URLs, server passwords, and exported configurations may contain sensitive information. Handle them only on devices and in storage locations you trust. Don’t share full subscription links or credentials when asking for help. Describe the system message, the step you’re on, and the interface fields instead of revealing your entire configuration.

Check Family Sharing separately

Check the App Store product page and your current Family Sharing settings to see whether Family Sharing applies. Don’t confuse restoring a purchase with the same Apple ID with purchase eligibility for different family members. Check the App Store listing and account prompts for availability and restrictions. Don’t assume other family members can get the app until you’ve confirmed they’re eligible.

Price and purchase details

What the one-time purchase covers

Shadowrocket is a paid commercial app with a one-time purchase; there’s no monthly fee for using the client. The US storefront reference price is $2.99. Other storefronts show prices in local currency, and the App Store purchase screen shows the current amount. Don’t assume the US dollar reference price is the final charge in every region, or compare amounts in different currencies directly.

The app price and the cost of services you already use are separate. In the app, a subscription usually refers to a way to update a set of server details; it isn’t an App Store purchase record. Buying the app again won’t fix an expired subscription, an unreachable remote server, or an expired service. Check your existing details and network first, then follow the connection troubleshooting steps to identify the issue.

Before confirming payment, check the app name, developer, current price, and purchase account. If payment is complete but the download hasn’t started, don’t try to restart it by buying the app again. Check whether the App Store shows a waiting or paused download, or an account prompt. If you’re unsure about the purchase status, check your purchase history in your App Store account and follow the support options provided by the system.

Manage app updates through the App Store. Updates may install automatically, depending on your device settings, or you can check for them on your App Store account page. Check the product page and App Store prompts for available updates, release details, and current compatibility. This page isn’t a version list, and screenshots don’t indicate the app’s current version.

Before buying, learn what Home, Global Routing, and Config do, then decide how to organize your existing data. After purchase, start with importing your configuration and granting permission instead of changing lots of advanced settings at once. Keep an original copy of your configuration, change one setting at a time, and verify the result. This makes issues easier to isolate than repeatedly reinstalling the app.

Purchase FAQ

Common questions about the App Store and installation

First identify whether the issue is with the App Store, device installation, or connectivity after importing. Then follow the relevant checks.

Why can’t I find Shadowrocket on the App Store?

Shadowrocket isn’t available in the mainland China storefront. Your Apple ID’s country or region determines which storefront you see. Go to Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → Country/Region to check your account’s region, then check whether the product page is available. The storefront path in a web link does not change your account’s region automatically.

What if the product page opens but the download won’t complete?

Check your current App Store account, purchase status, available device storage, and network connection. Then review the specific App Store message. Check the App Store listing for system requirements. Handle payment or account prompts in your system account settings, and don’t repeatedly confirm the purchase.

Do I have to pay again when I get a new device or reinstall the app?

Sign in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase, then find Shadowrocket in App Store → Account → Purchased and download it again. You usually won’t need to pay again. Purchase history isn’t a configuration backup, so you’ll still need to import your own existing subscription or server details on the new device.

Can I use the same purchase on iPad?

The iPhone and iPad versions use the same purchase. After buying with your Apple ID, you can redownload the app from Purchased on another eligible device. Check the App Store listing for system requirements and purchase compatibility. Check configuration and VPN authorization separately on each device.

Can I use Shadowrocket on Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Vision?

The compatibility section of the same App Store listing includes Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the listing for compatibility with your device, universal purchase availability, and system requirements. Use that product page to get the app.

The app is in English. How do I follow the manual?

The manual keeps English interface labels such as Home, Add Server, Global Routing, Config, and Connectivity Test, and explains what each one does. Find the relevant screen by its interface label, then follow the instructions. You don’t need to change your device language to match the screenshots.
